What is NOT Covered in your Homeowner's Insurance Policy?

TRANSCRIPT:

Hi Greg Vojtanek here of Fade In Financial. Today’s quick video is about the exclusions of property in your personal property coverage of Homeowner’s Insurance Policies.

These are generally not included in Homeowner’s Insurance coverage. That would be your pets, any animals, birds, fish you may have. Motorized land vehicles and aircraft would not be covered.

The property of any roomers, boarders, other tenants, generally anybody who’s renting from you. Their property would not be covered. Also, very importantly, is your property that is contained in an apartment that you regularly rent. For example, if you have a furnished apartment that you’re renting, then that furniture would not be covered.

Now you can get additional coverage for these things, generally. Or if it is specifically endorsed in your insurance policy then it would be covered. But, generally, these are the exclusions in the personal property coverage.

It’s certainly not everything to consider. But definitely look over your Homeowner’s Insurance Policy and what is covered. I do hope you found this helpful. Thanks for watching.
